Lampedusa cemetery of boats

L' ex base militare LORAN C è localizzata sul versante di Ponente dell'Isola di Lampedusa.

Dal 2008 è stata utilizzata come centro d'accoglienza per migranti, con 200 posti letto.

Dal 2011 ha ospitato donne e bambini senza genitori.

Oggi vessa in stato di abbandono e contiene all'interno un cimitero con alcuni dei barconi usati dai migranti per attraversare il Mar Mediterraneo.

Since 2008 it has been used as a Migrants Reception Center with 200 beds.

Since 2011 to host women and children without parents.

Today it is abandoned and inside it contains the cemetery of boats with which migrants reached the Island crossing the Mediterranean Sea.
